Terms of use

Last updated 9 September 2026

MAICA is beta software that helps investigate why a NetSuite transaction posted the way it did. These terms exist so both sides know what is being offered and what is not.

Using MAICA

By signing in you accept these terms. If you are using it on behalf of an employer or a client, you confirm you are allowed to do so.

What you must have the right to upload

You upload exports from NetSuite accounts. You are responsible for having permission to do that. Where the data belongs to a client, get their approval before it leaves their system — that conversation is yours to have, not ours.

You agree not to upload:

  • data you are not authorised to share;
  • payment card numbers, government identifiers, health records, or similar categories the product is not built to protect;
  • anything intended to attack or disrupt the service.

What MAICA does not promise

It does not determine root cause. It produces contributing factors ranked by the strength of their evidence, each labelled confirmed, likely, uncertain or insufficient evidence. A component touching a field is not proof it caused an outcome, and the product deliberately declines to say otherwise.

It analyses only what you give it. If an export is missing, partial or unreadable, the analysis is correspondingly incomplete. MAICA states which inputs were unavailable; it is your job to read that.

The conclusions are yours. MAICA is not accounting, audit, tax or legal advice. Do not post an entry, restate a period or close a ticket on its output alone. A qualified person reviews the evidence and decides.

Beta

This is pre-launch software running on trial infrastructure. Expect defects, interruptions, and changes without notice. Features may be removed. Data may be lost — keep your own copy of anything that matters. There is no uptime commitment and no support commitment.

Read-only

MAICA never writes to a NetSuite account. There is no code in it that does. That holds today with file upload, and it will hold for the planned live connection, which requests read access only.

Your data

You keep ownership of everything you upload. We store it to run the analysis and to keep every factor traceable to its source, as described in the privacy policy. Delete a client account and its evidence goes with it.

Cost

MAICA is free during the beta. If it becomes paid, you will be told before any charge, and nothing you have already uploaded will be held hostage to it.

Ending it

You can stop using MAICA and delete your data at any time. We may suspend access that threatens the service or breaks these terms, and may withdraw the beta entirely — with notice where that is possible.

Liability

MAICA is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or business losses arising from its use. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

This matters more than usual for a tool aimed at accounting: it is a diagnostic aid, and the responsibility for what is done with its output rests with the professional who acts on it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes fall to the courts of India.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the date at the top changes. Continuing to use MAICA after that means accepting the revised version.
